98 4.0 OHV. I have a coolant leak that is hard to determine exactly where it is coming from. Drivers side of the engine, straight back from the edge of the water pump (which is new because I thought it was leaking). It is coming from somewhere behind there and it’s pretty substantial. I think it seems like it is near the bracket that holds the PS pump and AC compressor. I think the oil pressure sensor is down there - any ideas?

Update I can hear it hissing today after I shut it off. The sound is coming from that same area - down underneath/behind the AC compressor and PS pump. Lower hose not leaking or wet.

Look at the core plugs(freeze plugs) on the side of the block

The lower intake has coolant passage at each corner where it meets the head
So any corner of lower intake can leak coolant

It actually the head that can leak but its the lower intake gasket that's the issue
