Picked up an '87 BII EB 2.9 a4ld a few weeks ago. Needed tune & tightening up, tires, little body love, etc, etc. All in all it's in pretty decent shape.... Went to the JY yesterday with the wife to pull some small stuff, mostly for the almost new tires and rims that they were going to hold for me off another BII. They decided to sell the truck whole so the tires had to stay on it.... my loss.
So, Momma, (Who's a bit of a grease monkey herself) see's an '89 BII in the yard and see's that it has a factory sun roof, roof rack, and a beautiful interior. She "convinces" me to rip and strip the interior, sunroof, roof rack, etc.....I haven't even looked at the '87 to see if it's all going to line up. The headliner and some trim panels appear to be the same but the side compartments seem to be a bit different. Any idea if they're a straight swap? Also going back for the back glass, rear washer set up tomorrow.
And, has anyone put in a sunroof that can share some wisdom, I've never done one before?
