convert electronic T-case to manual???

I'm new to this forum and to Rangers as well.
I got a 1993 Ranger that I'm going to play with in the woods. Right now it has the electronic T-case selector. Can any manual T-case work? What will I have to do to convert it to manual? Can I just use the shifter and linkage or will I have to do a full swap of the T-case?

You have to swap cases. The mechanisms inside of the cases are completely different.

It may be possible (with some creativity) to rig up something to shift the electric case manually, although for most this likely wouldn't be practical (the shifter shaft rotates 270°).

Swapping in a manual case from another Ranger would be the best bet ('90-'97 Rangers had manual 1354 cases available that would fit yours, they are somewhat rare though, you may have to look around some for one).

They sell for 250+ shipping on forums. Try 250 for both of them. Maybe the yard will give you the "bulk discount".
