its worth $300 in my books, same deal with the explorer i bought, tranny was toast, converted a 2wd tranny from my ranger into a 4x4 tranny... bang good as new. I'll sell you that for 3000 its got 173000 miles.

Ah, a manual transmission with a phantom gear. Well, that explains it then.
