Confused????????

I have heard people talking about 98+ 4wd ranger having spindles, do they have spindles or knuckles?

Also i am wondering if you can lift the front safely with only spindles/knuckles and where i can find them?

I am really wondering because I am on a tight budget but have some 33X12.5R15 tires that are brand new laying around and want them on. I have put them on with a T-Bar crank and they rub more than i care to hear everyday. I also have an aal laying around so i just need something to lift the front. spindles and knuckles are essentially the same thing, and yes you can get lift spindles they give you 3" of lift and they are offered for 2wd vehicles but i have seen 4wd spindles before as well but i dont remember where but they are available. they are safe to use i have them and have been running them for about 3 years now no problems

the knuckle is the part the ball joints and tie rod ends bolt to. the spindle is the part the bearing/wheel hub rides on which is either bolted to, or a cast part of the knuckle. the terms are often interchanged.

wondering... has anyone else heard or seen a lift knuckle for 4wd. is the ones used on superlift kits a lift or just redesigned? wondering if anyone else can find them? thanks a bunch

call superlift or rcd and see if you can get just the spindles

Lift spindles are not available for 4WDs. You need a suspension lift that drops the differential housing down.
