Hi all,
I am in the middle of my SAS and i pulled my dana 28 and started to mock up my EB 44, I am useing radius arms with extensions. When I was going to bolt the radius arm to the axle I noticed that one of my arms has more of a bend than the other, is this normal or is my arm Bent?

My concern is that my arms came from a 78-79 Bronco/F-150. I read that they were exactly the same, is this the case?

They bend fairly easily. It will be fine though. Or you can try to bend it back.

should they have the same bend? if not wich one goes on wich side? are the arms supposed to be identical?

they should be perfectly straight. I have 5 arms (2 on the truck and 3 unusable due to destroyed rear studs) and they are all straight.

Ya, they should be dead straight. I've got a set with rusted thin studs that I'm gonna make extended arms out of. Post a pic of your extensions, they may be the reason it's bent.

they are bent where they come off the "C" part and make it so that the ends dont line up with the frame

Same guy as on neow right? I ran a slighlty bent one HARD on my old suspension for over a year, no problems....

I've got a set of radius arms from a 79 Bronc for sale for cheap if you're interested. Straight as an arrow

mybe what he is referring to is the arms arnt comming off the axle at the same angle? he'll have to correct me if im wrong.

are you using new C bushings or the old ones? my arms weren't exactly the same angle off the axle b4 i bolted it up but the rubber, or poly whatever they may be, will give a little.

pictures would help give a better answer

Each arm itself should be perfectly straight when not damaged. When bolted to the axle the rear, stud end, of the arms should point inwards toward eachother some to line up under the frame. They will not be parallel once bolted onto the axle.

Thanks for the help, i know that they should point inward when bolted up, and everyone is saying that they should be straight, so i now know that mine are f-ed up. one of mine is bent so bad that when bolted up to the right side it actually points straight back, maby even a little outwards! :yahoo:
