Ok so here's the situation I have 01 ranger xlt2wd I just put 31x10.5x15 on stock 15x7 rims why am I getting crazy rubbing on the control arms when turning I've read so much that there wouldn't be to much rub or none at all does it have to do with the backspacing I don't wanna put any stress on the bearings or is it just something that I have to deal with can someone shed some light on this and help me out on something that I can do

well what is your backspacing? and did you lift it? mine dont rub at all. (3 inch spindle lift and)

I was going to say maybe because it's 2wd. But his is too^^. I had 32X11.50s on my old 4X4 with a 3" body lift and they didn't rub at all.

If I'm not mistaken stock backspacing is 4.5" and yes I am gonna lift it 3" spindle and 2" shackles in the rear....... how do I get 3.75 backspacing on my stock rims?

I have 33's and mine don't touch anything. I run 33x12x5 KO tires. You need to buy the correct wheels and don't use spacers. I have a 3 inch spindle lift and 2 inch taller coil springs. I am runner 15x8 AR polished wheels and have the back spacing that is required for the Ford Ranger. Ask a 4x4 accessory/wheel shop what you need and they will let you know.

By the way...what spindle lift are you going to use? Google the one you are going to use and see the specs. They will tell you what wheel back spacing is required to use the spindle lift.

Good luck!!

You get new rims or wheel spacers. I would recommend the first though. If not done right, spacers can break wheel studs.

Spindles are coming from suspension max and I just spoke with a tech there and he said the backspacing I have is fine also should I lift the rear also or I should be fine o don't wanna look like I'm wheeling I was thinking shackles or blocks or aal
