Hey guys I got a 92 ranger sport with 1.5" RC leveling coils and shocks. The truck came stock with the 14x6's and Im looking to buy some procomp 15x7 or 15x8. What back spacing should I be looking for I read here that http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/wheel_fitment.html
i should look for 3.75 back spacing. I read through the forums explanation of back spacing as well. I was told however by dude at 4wheelparts.com that I should get 4.5" back spacing. With the leveling kit on what is your take on which back spacing and rim width would give me to ability to fit big tires with no rub. Thanks

A 4.5" backspacing will make your tires sit closer to the frame and inside the wheel wells further than the 3.75" will.

I suggest the 3.75" to prevent rubbing.

all right so if a i used either a 15x7 or 15x8 with 3.75 back spacing and the 1.5" RC leveling kit with shock I should be able to fit 30x9.5x15 on the truck correct? Or can I actually fit larger with no rubbing?

31x10.50 will fit just fine with the level kit and those rims.

If you just want to run 30x9.5r15 you could just get some stock 15x7 rims out of a wrecker...
I have 31x10.5r15 on stock rims for my b2 and other than rubbing the sway bar they fit fine

suspensions are differnet from 2wd to 4wd. here is a 92 2wd with leveling kit:

it doesnt say tire size where I foun the pic but those are stock wheels. You can see me hesitance to squeeze 31x10.5's and get no rubbing

That looks like a 4wd to me, you can see the hubs and the diffferential part of the front axle.

I have run 31's on many Gen 2's with 2" leveling kits. You might get some rubbing at full lock, but generally it isn't a big deal.
