confused about CAI

alright! i think youve all talked me out of it haha

i will just stay with the drop in filters for now!

as for exhaust though, is it worth going to a dual exhaust vs just replacing my muffler?

btw thanks alot for everyones patience with me not knowing much!

i bent and welded up my exhaust on my own. i Have TRUE-DUALS (Straight pipe from headers out to pass side in front of tire.) Then i bout some heavy duty glasspacks (12 Inch Long) and put them on back-wards. it still is pretty quiet but gives it a nice rumble.

Also, Going 75mpg down highway and it was still quiet. people think my truck is a drag truck when i floor it :headbang: :3gears:

P.S. putting the glasspacks on backwards, instead of forcing exhaust out more it forces it to slow down creating it to be deeper but still quiet

Thanks,
James

after doing it to 3 trucks, I think upgrading air intake is worth it. Although its up for debate whether you can get a colder air charge over the stock systems, there is no debate on the air flow. An intake system will greatly increase the amount of air your engine will suck in, which on all of my vehicles made a noticable difference in sound, and performance. Also I got mileage increase.

I would also steer away from K&N filters for many reasons (I personally have 2 in use currently). Dry filters are much better. If you're interested in an alternative, let me know.
