Concealed Carry Pistol Thread

All steel ATI

Sent from the front seat of my RX 8.

i prefer a Kahr 9 for personal protection. a 9 is reliable & ample supply ammo is not an issue.(mind you it doesn't have the knock-down capability of a .45 but it still gets the job accomplished)I like pocket carry as opposed to belt-holstered. with pocket carry (in a pocket holster) i always know where it is- I'm more cognizant of where it is on my person. there is a delay in displaying it from the pocket. if a situation arises where i need it fast, i may lose a couple of tenths of a second in introducing it but i accept that limitation. also, if someone wants my wallet they're going to be getting option b, instead.

1. 9mm is fine.
2. I holster carry at 4:30 IWB and it's always in the same spot. Good holster and good gun belt and it'll never move.

for those of you saying the compact 1911 isn't reliable you must not change your recoil spring. also saying they need tuned is incorrect. I have a citadel 1911 compact in .45 acp and it fires awesome. My other carry is a full size 1911 gi model from Rock Island arms. I would put them up against any kimber, colt, ruger ect.

Well it's been a while sense I posted in here... But my new carry gun is a glock 22, yes I carry full size guns... I like them better.

I'll revive this thread...

Walther P99. I like it because: 16 rounds; internal striker; DA/SA trigger with a decocker; it fits my big ole bear paws. That and its way more accurate than I'll ever be able to shoot it.

Home-made holster from a Tandy kit... I've got a different one now that is my own design.

I'm still just loving my XDm and Theis holster with SOE belt

Damm, this thread is about 100 years old. I think Aaron Burr has a post in the earlier pages.

Still carrying my Beretta Bobcat that I bought in 1999 and it hasn't left my pocket since. No holster needed. I took my pistol training at Quantico and I don't need a .45--I'll shoot a bad guy 8 times quicker than he can think and finish him off with a big rock.

Ha ha a big rock. I like it!

Just bought a taurus ultra-light last week. It's gonna be my ccw pistol.

I thought about getting one of those light-weight 357s--a LadySmith maybe. Still might. I really like the power of the 357, I have had a GP100 for years--I bought one about 3 years after they came out. We were hand loading back then and it could endure devastatingly powerful powder loads. I carried a S&W K-frame on duty--both in black gear and in a suit. It's just too heavy and awkward to have with me every moment, though it's a natural weapon for me. I like a drop-in-the-pocket type of gun. A featherweight 357 is definitely on my horizon.

I don't know what the gun you have there is. By the flutes, it's a 357 or 38. Or some funky 9mm thing with half-moon clips. The cylinder looks short so I guess a 38. Can you shoot +P? If it is.

Bought one of those for my daughter, she carries it everywhere. Dandy little .38 special!

Ya I'm a small guy so I needed something small enough I could conceal. I'm only 5'5" and 150lbs. A full size pistol just isn't feasible for me.

I'm 5'4" and 130.... you can conceal the 3.8" XDm. :icon_thumby:

My Sig Sauer Ultra Two Tone in a White Hat Holster and my Benchmade Mini Griptilian. This conceals surprisingly well under a t-shirt. However I'm 5'11" and 180lbs.
