any one wanna school me on why i have to change the speaker input to the computer? if i restart the computer, or leave it idle for a few hours. ill have to change it from the green port to the red one...

any ideas?

The green is an output for speakers, and pink is usually an input for a microphone.

yeah i know this, thats why i wanted to know if any one had any idea, why i would have to plug my speaker into the microphone to get any sound every once in awhile.

im assuming its just a defect in this cheap board.

Did you try deleting and updating the driver for the sound?

Most problems I've had that were not physical where driver related...maybe the mobo manufacturer has an update...

If the device actually works properly otherwise it's not usually a problem with the hardware...it's either driver or priority related...you can change the priority of the device driver (it is loaded and should show up on your Task Manager) to real time or other...but try the driver first...

The internal speakers in my Dell notebook frankly SUCK.

Not that I particularly care because when I actually want to listen to something played
on my laptop I'll either use the audio out jack on the laptop to connect to the aux input on the Sony head unit in my truck OR I'll connect my Logitech V20 External speakers to the USB port.

a friend was showing off his HP with Beats audio and was annoyed at how good my USB powered V20's sound... they sound even better on his computer.
