Hey i was wondering if anyone has moved thier comp higher or waterproofed it? and your t-case control box?

The T-case control box? my "one touch" controller is already mounted above the windshield...your not talking about the shifter motor on the back of the t-case? if you move it, it won't shift the gears inthe case....There are folks here who have moved the computer to a more dry location for those underwater adventures..

Huh???

I thought all 2nd generation Rangers had the T-case module mounted behind the left rear jumpseat.

At least all mine are.......

yeah my t-case module is behind my drivers side jump seat i was also reffering to the eec by the passanger kick panelit only sits about 2 inches above the floor pan

The EEC is almost resting on the floor its not my t-case control module its the engine management system. i was wondering if anyone had moved or relocated this up inside the dash or just plain waterproofed it?

OK...guess I don't know as much as I thought...what is a t-case module? Like I said in my original reply, my B2 has the "touch control" electric t-case shifter, and my Ranger has the 2 sticks...what does a t-case module modulate if two handles on the ranger and the electric shifter on thew B2 are the only controls on the t-case?

well the module tells the electric motor on the t-case which position its supposed to be in. The stick in your ranger is controlled by you so you select which gear you want the EEC is an engine control module and has nothing to do with the transfer case.

Ok...so you guys that are talking about t-case modules all have the electric shift? I didn't think it was that common.

Hey yeah the electric shift is really common . does anyone have any suggestions about the ENGINE computer????

you could remove the box from inside your glovebox and mount it in there, I will be relocating the computer in an 88 b2 sometime later this week and i will let you know what I come up with.

X2 and/or find a good sized square/rectangle shaped Tupperware container and cut the hole for the plug and harness....seal it up real good and mount the EEC inside it.

Hey the tupperware idea is brilliant!! lol i think im gonna try that and just silicone the shit out of it
