I just wanted to input something here I am sure many dont know about with the computers they use every day.

There is a FREE DOWNLOAD called WinUtilities, and it can be found at www.cnet.com, at the top of page click on downloads, then scroll down a bit and look on left side for maintenance and optimization and the 4th one down is the WinUtilities Free edition download, It has a bunch of different things to run to help pick up the heartbeat and the footsteps of the puter you love so much.

Anyway I just thought I would put that out, I am sure it will help at least one person and maybe 1 or 2 more later on.

http://download.cnet.com/windows/maintenance-and-optimization/?tag=rb_content;contentNav <---- I dont know if this will link to the page I was on, I didnt try it.

Can you describe what it does in a little more detail?

My Mac doesn't need routine maintenance like silly Windows machines do ;-)

WinUtilities

The WinUtilities has the usual registry defragmenter, memory optimizer, HD Defragmenter. It has the basic stuff to keep your computer operating at speeds we like to see. When your computer starts acting sluggish and seems to be taking its own time to do what you want it to, There are a series of programs to pretty much put that viagra back in the operating system. There are alot more things it has, I cant remember them all and I have no idea how to post the screenshots I have seen people post. I would say go to the Cnet site locate it and you can always see what it does and is all about before you download. I really do suggest using it, especially since its a free download.

checking into. Most if the free ones will done part of what they offer for free, you have to pay for the rest. 50% of those utilities are built into windows.

I personal don't care for "SUITE" packages, as they are blotted and cause as much slow down as they fix.

MAC can use maintenance too. and/or it does it in the background.

Also rebooting once a week will help alot too.
