Had a "new to me" engine , came with a computer & chip ( built engine) chip was kind of flaky. Tried it in my spare computers, had other issues with it that I lately resolved, but the poor economy and lessened power persisted. A parts yard had a sale , what the hell , ecm $20 , so bought one for a spare.. what the hell ...put it in and presto! Starts running better, more power economy and after a month in the truck the economy is great, power is back !! Figure the chip ( burned by a guy that had screwed up a few chips I found out ) screwed all the spare computers ..will not put it in the new one
