completely new look with only a bit of work

Sounds like it was drilled twice. If that hole is oval, go to junkyard and get an oval body plug. In your truck, look on the floor behind the seat on the driver's side; you'll see a black plastic oval body plug. Score one of those, then just trim the hole to fit with a razor knife or aviation snips.

it's not perfectly oval at all.

very irregular shape. and not sure there is a floor drain bigger than the hole to cut to fit...

thought about using pond repair foam (was suggested) or like waterproof insulator foam... but not sure how it would react with the metal or the bedliner material

Nice job. The crop on that pic works well, too. Real nice truck.

For the oddball hole - how about using some type of adhesive (caulking or whatever you have now) and get some plastic sheet and have a go? Surely the hardware store has some type of plastic sheet you can purchase for cheap.

Are you keeping the liner in there for sentimental purpose (not trying to sound like an ***, asking honestly) or ..... ?

what do you mean crop on the pic?

uhm, well i was looking for maybe like vinyl patch or something for the hole... just want a temporary fix until i can afford to do a herculiner kit, which honestly will probably have to wait until spring time, as it's gonna start getting cold here pretty soon.

i'm keeping the liner until i can afford a spray in. the only reason. if i could afford it now, i'd do it in a heart beat. still waiting to get $334 from an accident when a lady hit me... gonna try calling her again, honestly, she has one last chance before i file in small claims court with her. getting a rebate on my cell phone, should have already came, need to call about that too.

think i'm gonna try selling my cat-back system on here as well. try and get some money out of it... then again, i'm not sure if i should put it on, or sell it. i kinda want to know what my truck would sound like with the non-stock muffler on it...

Crop = that's what most programs call it when you change the borders of a pic.

Liner - understood. Time = money. :annoyed:

A vinyl patch would be great ..... I just couldn't think of the name. :icon_confused:

ok.. i knew what cropping a picture meant, apparently it's just too late for me to understand the sentence you typed lol...

yeah i know.. like i know they make vinyl patches for like body work don't they?

all i would need is a vinyl patch, to cover up the hole.. and adhere it somehow.. either by heat creating a water proof seal or something.

that's all i want to cover the holes for.. is for waterproofness... i don't want a ton of water getting down in between my bed and the liner, because i don't park on a hill, so it won't drain. i also don't want debris flying in there.

Adhesive - bathroom caulking. You can find it in small size hand-squeezable tubes for a small job like this. Helps to keep the cost down, too. ;)

i have some plumbing adhesive/sealer called goop.

bought it cuz the plugs i have are ever so slightly too small.. so going to fill the gap with that stuff hopefully.

i just need something as a patch for the big hole.
