i get my NEW motorcycle. Kawasaki vulcan 900 custom. they offer to trailer it to my house because they dont want to see it messed up before i can ride it. now they have just called me inept, and this angers me a bit. so i get to the dealership this morning and its all snug in the trailer already. i notice i dont like the way its tied down, but i couldn't put my finger on exactly what was wrong, and these guys are professional, right?? so i dismissed my fears as pre-delivery jitters. get it to my house, everything looks good so far. we unload my buddies bike--2007 gsx-r 600----and then unload mine. as i park it, i notice the paint on my tank looks funny. CHIPS!!!! in the paint. lots of them from where the ratchet part of the strap on the handlebars was ruthlessly and viciously attacking my gas tank the entire ride. so i tell the guy that delivered it that there was a problem. he looks at it and says "Not quite sure that happened during the ride, I'll have to talk to my boss about what he wants to do." i was very calm about the whole ordeal. so i call the dealership an hour later. talked to the owner, who was already appraised of the situation, and he says "we already have an order in to kawasaki and are getting a new tank overnighted from japan. come in whenever you want and we will put it on for you." to clarify why it was delivered, there is 16 inches of snow on the ground and we are expecting 4-6 more by friday. then he says "arent you glad we delivered it?? we couldnt have helped you if this happened in your trailer." i saw red. "THIS WOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED IN MY TRAILER BECAUSE I KNOW HOW TO TIE DOWN A BIKE WITHOUT @#$%ing IT UP!!!!" apperantly, he figured that was a good time to end our conversation. he said "i will call you when your tank comes in, have a nice day." now i feel bad for yelling at him....
