compatible transmission

Is there any other transmission that will take the place of a a4ld that isnt as much of a piece of shit as they are any advice would be great

A manual tranny swap is your best bet. A M5od r1 to be exact. You can find a 4x4 version easily behind 4.0's. 2.9 and 4.0 ohv share the same bolt pattern.
