Picked it up for $200.

Not bad. Make sure you pick up the leaf spring perches rather than cut and weld the perches, this gives you a jacking pad to lift the vehicle...

Yes, next week I'm coming back home to clean it up, paint it, get everything wired up and the brackets welded on so it will be ready for the swap when I get a week off. So I was thinking about painting it yellow.

This weekend I'm cleaning it up, painting it yellow, welding on new mounts, and fixing brakes.

Today I got to work on the brakes, I'm waiting for some parking brake shoes, I've got everything else ready, and I've taken most of the stuff off, like the shock and the sway bar. I'll get some pics.

FYI, the Explorers had bolt on shock mounts that work really well. It would save you from welding tabs onto the axle. SVT mentioned them above.

I got some work done. Just need to put on the new diff cover, clean it up, paint it, and put on the new mounts.

Alright next week I plan to do the swap, so I'll post some pictures.

So, we didn't have the welding equipment an unfortunately there were no places around that were open to do the welding so it will have to wait till monday to be welded up. I put my older axle back in with my truck but replaced the old broken shocks with new Rancho RS5000s like the front.

Have to adjust the parking brake and check the speedo and we are good.

Looks like you lifted the rear - right? What did you set the pinion angle to? Did you lift the front as well?
