Meanwhile in Texas....
As we are looking at 10" or so tomorrow up here in the frozen state of Indiana, the worlds smallest violin is playing for you :p

That's Indiana. It's suppose to snow there!

20* and sleeting.

Southern AZ and still wearing t-shirts and shorts. And still need a/c in the car sometimes.

-2 when I woke up... -25 wind chills. They also have us under a snow advisory... up to 12 more inches of snow by tomorrow @9am.

Anybody notice how winters have been getting more mild recently? You know. Global warming and all that?

Winters have been getting milder because we're doing a better job of sharing. You're welcome.

-11 this morning.

Truck barely started, I think the battery is getting weak but I am struggling to find ambition to change the battery outside with a -30* windchill at the moment. PS pump screamed in protest once it started. Noted it was too cold for frost so no ice to scrape.

Got to work, no water. Some genius in the 50's when the building was built ran the water line inside the north exterior wall so not particularly noteworthy, usually happens at least once a year.

Coworker met a guy riding a bike (like the pedal kind) on his way to work.

Tomorrow is supposed to be worse and then it starts warming up. 30's this weekend!

-7 with -30 wind-chill in Kansas.
My old 86 ranger cranked hard but started with the optima red top.
The oil in the gearbox was as thick as concrete, I could barely get it out of gear.
So while I let the truck warm up this morning I
Put the transfer case in neutral and shifted truck into 5th gear to let it spin all the internals in the gearbox and transfer case and warm up the oils.
Handy trick if you have a 4x4.

I see the snow plow took care to plow you in real nice and tight. How thoughtful of them.
