So curently i have a 5.5inch superlift in a 92 2door explorer and of course the springs are to stiff. what type of coil should i use. It aslo got a winch and a huge arb bumer on it.I'v read alot of the other threads and seams like it's gonna be a skyjacker jeep or ranger coil but wich one should i use?

Thanks
Adam

Jeep coils will be much to soft for that setup.

I'd look at Skyjacker's 6" Ranger coils (I think they are pt# 136). It's possible you'll need a spacer under the coil to make up for the weight of your winch and bumper, but they should ride and flex much better than the Superlift coils.

You could also try early Bronco or F-150 coils (something rated around 300PPI) if you do much trail crawling.

Thanks. I was just about to buy some jeep coils on the weekend but now I won't .So now it's back to the drawing board. For the bronco/f-150 coils what paticular brand should i be lookin for?

Honestly, the 6" skyjacker coil springs are as close to a "factory" ride as you can get. If you're looking for something softer, something in the EB line would be the way to go. Be warned though, figuring out what spring you need/want will be somewhat of a test of your math skills. Talk nicely to Junkie or Copykat, they seem to know the "why's" and "what works" on the TB suspension.

ya 4x4junkie said to use skyjacker coils and sounds like he know's what he's talking about so i'm gonna get a set on the weekend.

What's your goal here? A crawler to take on the likes of the Rubicon trail? Or just a casual trail/rutted dirt road wheeler-slash-DD rig?

Casual trail and dirt road mostly. I take it on the highway from time to time . But she ain't no dd. Plannin on using builstine shocks to after i takes some measurements.

I think you'll be happy with the SJ #136 coil's performance for typical 4-wheeling use. Among standard-issue TTB coils, they seem to be the flexiest.
