how do I convert 8plug to 4 plug

the truck originally came with 8 plugs and im using a 4 plug head.computer wise how do I wirer it

I haven't done this, but from what I understand you will probably need the ecm from the vehicle the 4 plug head came from.

Leave the secondary coil unplugged? It will set a cel but it will wrork

Simple, terminate the center pin of the unused coil connector and ground the outer two, I've been running like that for like 4 years now with no issues, the ignition module won't be mounted to the intake manifold anymore since the intake patten is different, I mounted mine like so:

it's on a piece of 1/8" plate sandwiched between the two intake halves, if you do this you have to only use the 3 stock bolt locations, use some thermal paste under the module, and ground the plate (this is an important step, it'll run without the ground but be pretty temperamental...).

I have yet to get the stock tach working with this setup, but it's a fairly simple fix that I figured out once but forgot how before I got to implementing the fix :)
