Coil Spring

So Today I was under my truck about to crank the torsion when I noticed that in the front I have no coil spring at all just a shock. Should my 1998 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 have some cold springs. If it should have some then I shouldn't crank the torsion right?

Im so confused as to why it doesn't have none.

Anybody HELP!

1998 is the First year of the torsion bar, that replaces the coil spring. Also on a side note, if you crank your torsion bars you should get an alignment after.
