Is there any difference between 88 and 89 coil springs. I have a 88 and see kits that say 89 up

Not really. Might have been slightly different spring rates from the factory, but the physical dimensions of the spring are the same. Being aftermarket (drop springs?), you are probably getting the same coil spring with a different part number slapped on.
