Hey I have a BDS 6" susp lift installed on my 1994 ext cab b4000... i'm currently running 33x13.5 LTB's... I did some minor trimming but the tires still rub at times... and it seems my truck is slightly raked forward...i know rangers normally sit a little high in the rear but i would like to level it out... i seen the coil spring spacer tech article, but i was wondering if anyone has used coil spring boosters, i seen them the other day at the store and was wondering if the actually work?

stay far far FAR away from those, they are freakin dangerous as hell, they become a projectile just waiting for a target.

haha yeah I was wondering about that.. Would they even lift the front at all?

Any other suggestions on what to do about my tire rubbing issue?

use a stack of washers, you can do it other ways too. if you know somebody in a machine shop, have them cut some 3" CRS round stock to whatever length you want and put a 1-3/8 hole through it. the other option is a taller spring (skyjacker 8")

Yeah I guess my only viable option is the to use info from the tech article to make those spacers... Any idea on the maximum thickness you can make them? I just didnt want have to unbolt the coil spring retaining nut again... that was quite the task when i installed the kit.. i was afraid it would go back on... you gotta love 14 years of winter elements and road grime....

too bad those boosters wont work...

Ya i'd say your best "cheap" bet would be the washers. i did it to mine and i used big enough washers to fit over the entire bolt so it sits directly on the i beam

Hutch thats a very nice truck. do you mind maybe sending me some specs i'd like to see more if you don't mind

max length is either whatevers the max alignable lift, or the most you can fit and still get the nut back on. i would say about 1 to 1-1/2 but i cant say for sure. dont worry about taking things apart again, it will be easy this time.

yeah i guess, seeing it was only apart a few months ago... it should be fine... im sure an inch will clear the meat...

also just wondering.. my front body mounts look like hamburger patties, haha... seems like the have been squished pretty good.. would that effect the way the truck sits.. the rest of the body mounts look fine

????
