when putting in the coil spacers, do you put the spacers directly on top of the spring seat and insulator? and once you look at that, is there enough thread to get away with 2'' of lift?

when i did mine i put them on the bottom of the coil.. pretty easy install

they go under the spring seat normally and the seat will sit on them for the ones ive worked with. Whether or not you'll have enough thread is a really good question though heh.

No, you won't be able to use a spacer more than 1.25" or so thick and still be able to get the retainer nut back on. A 2" thick spacer is going to lift it 3", too. Good chance that won't be alignable.

There's a person on e-bay that sells 2" coil spacers with a stud extender. Thats what I used. It doesn't make sense, but I ended up having to cut about 3/4" off of my stock stud, and then threading the stud extender on to get the threads on the extender in the right spot. Here is a link to what I bought, from the same seller.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford-Ranger-Bronco-II-F150-Explorer-Spacer-LIFT-KIT-4WD_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33585QQihZ016QQitemZ260214984675QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
They actually forgot the stud extenders, and I e-mailed them about it, they were sent out the next day with a free T-Shirt. So, they have very good customer service, I would e-mail them and ask if you can buy just the stud extenders.

Just use 3" outside diameter and 1 1/4 inside diameter washers(they don't even need welded). It'll take about 7 or 8 of them on each side. Any more and you won't be able to get it back on. The nut is 1 1/8. This will lift the front about 2" and is off from the rear about 3/4 to 1" but looks about even. I just ordered shocks (2.5" longer) and am itching for some new 31's. It's easy and cheap ($4).
