1994 Ranger 108k or 208k or 308k miles... The previous owner claimed it is at 108k. The CEL goes off and on when the motor is stressed. If I floor it, it doesn't go any faster but seems to lose speed but runs at 3000-3250 RPMs. I checked the catalytic converters today and they are not plugged.

So, I had a buddy next door run the codes and it pulled 172 and was running lean on bank 2 (I think bank 2) and something about cylinder 1. He said to check the MAF and so I did, it was clean and looked brand new. He said something about an EGO but we were not sure what this is. Also, he said I may need to replace my O2 sensors.

I have not yet done anything to it but changed the spark plugs, wires and welded a flowmaster on. I'm currently running 328 miles to a near empty tank.

I ended up replacing the o2 sensors and nothing happened. In the post "MAF required?" I found out that he had a similar problem so I unplugged my MAF while it is running and it now runs like a FORD should. Can I keep this unplugged or is that bad for the motor?
