Code 14, and another question

I have replaced everything that involves starting the 4.0 in my 90 Ranger, cables, plugs, solenoid on the firewall, icm, coil pack, battery, battery cables. Pretty much everything is brandnew and I still pull the pip 14 code and only that code. Some times it fires right up others it cranks over excessively. Any other suggestions, ive spent about 700$ replacing everything...... Also how hard is it to replace the RABS module behind the ash tray? and can I take one from an explorer/b2/ranger of any year? Also would the RABS module cause my spedo not to work, because when the brakes drag the spedo jumps around...

The ABS module is listed as the same from 1989-1994 rangers, if that's what you mean.
If ABS light is on there is a separate plug-in to get codes from that system, it is usually red and on the drivers side of the engine compartment.

Speedometer on 1990 is a mechanical cable, no sensor, so shouldn't be effected by any electronic problems.
If you have factory cruise control there would be a two piece speedo cable.

Check the wires to the CPS(crank position sensor) this sensor tells the ECM(engine computer) if it should turn on coil and injectors, you can usually test this sensor with an AC volt meter, connect meter to the two wire sensor, turn over engine, it shouldn't start with CPS disconnected, sensor should generate AC voltage to the meter, .5-.8vAC so not much but not 0
