So the 88 tbird engine i'm getting takes is a 10 spline clutch. However where I am using the ranger transmission I assume I just get a clutch that fits the Ranger transmission input shaft?

I'm 99.999% shore I just wanted some input to double check.

Yup, use the ranger trans when ordering a clutch.

Yep, I recommend the Centerforce flex plate with the weights and their stock replacement friction disc, I've abused the heck out of mine and it looks pretty good still... 5 years ago I couldn't find a kit that had those two parts in it, but that could have changed by now...

I think for now I am just going to run the stock flywheel. I will get it machined though.

Yeah, I'm running the stock flywheel, the pressure plate is the part that bolts to the outside of that with the friction disc between the two. I recommend the stock flywheels over the aftermarket Chinese ones from the parts stores... they wear better...
