I just replaced the clutch, pressure plate, and slave cylinder in my 2004 ranger.I have bled the system over and over it will not shift at all running or not. Any ideas????when you start the truck with the clutch in the slave cylinder is disengaging the trans when you release the clutch it tries to engage. but at no time can you shift gears or get it in neutral.

Welcome to TRS :)

Very common issue
You have put the shifter arm in when transmission was NOT in Neutral

So pull out the shifter again, look down into the hole
You will see 3 shift rails and each has a Slot for the shifter arm
All 3 slots have to be lined up next to each other in the center, and thats Neutral
Use a screw driver to slide the one that is not in the center to line up with the other 2 slots

BE CAREFUL, truck WILL ROLL AWAY in Neutral
You may need to rock the truck to release pressure on the shift fork so you can slide it back to Neutral
To confirm Neutral try to roll the truck

Now install the shifter arm again

Last picture here shows 2 of the 3 slots lined up: https://therangerstation.com/Magazine/winter2007/shifterbushings.shtml
