Ok so I have 100k on the old '94 4L and the pedal engagement is low and 1st as well as R are difficult to shift into.
The plan is to replace the clutch and the slave. Surprisingly there seems to be plenty of options right on Amazon, but regardless of where I get the parts are there any brands to look for or stay away from?? OEM style and performance level and quality/reliability is perfect. I just need a good replacement.
Also, do the clutch 'kits' generally all come with the pressure plate, T/O bearing, pilot bearing?, and clutch disc, and alignment tool ?? Some of them seem to but difficult to tell given the description and pics on others.

Is it typical to also replace the master and the lines while you are there?

Any advice would be appreciated....

Also, a quick look and it seems impossible to bleed the slave when I get to the end of this project. Is there a thread somewhere on how to do that?

LUK clutches are OEM. Sachs is pretty much the same thing. Pretty good pricing too. As for replacing things, I'd do everything but the master cylinder, those don't have as many issues as the slaves. For bleeding it, when i did my clutch, I got everything buttoned up, filled up the DOT3 reservoir, and just opened the bleeder screw and let fluid run out for about 10 seconds. NO pumping, nothing else, it worked perfect and bled itself and firmed up after about 2 days of driving.

Thanks for the response, ok I will check out those brands.

For bleeding the slave, whatever is in there now just barely has the cap on the nipple at the exterior surface of the bell housing, there is no easy way to unscrew it any.

Maybe what is in there now is not OEM/ not a good one and they are supposed to extend a little further, I dunno.

That's a quick disconnect fitting, if memory serves, not a fitting you want to completely unscrew. Or maybe it's just late and my memory sucks...
