Since I bought my truck years ago I could always hear a rattle in neutral when I'm parked from the clutch, when I depress the clutch peddal it goes away. Someone told me it was the release bearing in the clutch and that it was common in manual tranny Rangers around the same age of my 96
Just wodering if any of you have this noise? and if it is common?:icon_confused:

mine rumbles and its brand new. the brand new one i had before this rumbled too...ive just grown to love it :D

I don't in my 98 b2500. I just replaced clutch and everything but did not before either. I would tend to think pilot bearing or slave. You could crawl up under your truck with it in park and see if you can find where it is coming from, might give more insight. Just be careful with it on and you underneath it.
