I have a 98 Ranger with a 5.0 and a Mazda M5od behind it, the problem I have started earlier this year, my clutch pedal would go away for seemingly no reason, I would bleed it which didn't seem to help much, the funny thing is when it started warming up (outside air temp.) the pedal was perfect so I thought it must be fixed, well now it's getting cold again and it's doing it again, on a cold day (below say 50deg.) I loose about an inch of pedal throw and of course it shifts hard, bleeding does little if anything but yesterday it warmed up again to 75 and the pedal was again perfect, I guess my question is which is it master or slave because neither comes cheap as we all know,,,thanks,,,Neil
