It was a little warm today so I did some looking underneath the dashboard I'll be damned if I can find a plug that's supposed to be there! ( for if and when we change over from Auto to manual)

what's it look like if a black or grey I found a big gray plug but I don't think it's the one

y not just trade trucks? going from auto to manual sounds like a lot of labor for a truck that you can buy pretty cheap anymore.

You can get them cheap but you don't know what you are getting.

If the electrical, structure, body engine and the rest of the powertrain are in good shape on a truck you have, you know that. Rather than trading for a "nice" truck and half the fender falls off a week later because it is constructed of chicken fence, newspaper and bondo.

My truck is a 93 and it has almost no rust which surprises everyone including me and why I'm keeping it even though I think now and then about selling it and getting another or making a real effort to find a good transmission builder in my area.

Also the 3.0 is way more common then the 4.0 and not really interchangeable. Given I have A 62 k 4.0 & trans in storage. And I do love that four-wheel drive even though I only use it when it doesn't work LOL

Do you want the widget that keeps truck from starting unless the clutch is pushed in? Its a 6 or 7pin thing that s'posed to go on the pedal arm. Back when I had starter troubles , I jumped the pins on the harness plug with a paper clip. Probably the other pins were for an AT NSS.
The Rat isn't registered. I just use it to make rubbish runs. I have pre-selected 4 low and mostly run around with the hubs unlocked This is the first winter in 3 yrs that the truck has been operational. If you jump out the switch, be aware that it will start just fine in gear with pedal up :D

Thank you! could come in handy but I don't think I've even graduated to that point yet I do know it's two pink wires for the clutch safety switch to be bypassed but when the weather warms up a little bit I'll try and do some more investigating under the dash I'm just trying to get a real picture of the actual plug so I know what I'm actually looking for
