I've been working on this ranger for a while. Fixing multiple issues. Was going through the fuel system. Replaced everything. Went to push in the clutch to try and start it. There was a pop. The pedal went to the floor. I found a rod with an eyelet next to the pedal but not connected. I put a bolt through the eyelet and connected it to the pedal but the pedal is still on the floor. I can not find where on the transmission the lever is to the throw out bearing to check to see if it is functioning. I am not sure where to go from here. Please help me.....

Slave is inside bell housing on the Rangers, so no external lever.

Reads like master failed or its internal check valve.
On the firewall(engine side) there will be a white reservoir with black cap, that's the clutch reservoir, it's hose runs down to master cylinder.
Since push rod to pedal is already disconnected, you can pull out the master cylinder, it is a "twist lock" so you push in while twisting it counter clockwise(1/8 turn) then pull it out.
You should disconnect Slaves hose and unscrew reservoir from firewall so Master can be pulled out for inspection.

The "Quick Disconnect" Ford uses at the slave connection can be hard to separate if it has been on for a few years.
Have look here at the video of how to disconnect the hose: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVjEMoroZQM

The master end at the quick disconnect has a valve inside, when removed the valve seals the hose.
Symptom of this hose coming off is that the pedal is stuck at the top, you can't push it down because there is no place for fluid to go.
Your symptom reads like fluid has flowed out but no fluid flowed back in, pedal dropped to the floor, so could also be broken hose, but master, reservoir/hose and slave hose come as one piece, so all are replaced if one is broken.

Here is a clutch master cylinder for your truck:

The push rod shouldn't pull out of the master cylinder, it's usually a one time deal--you push it in and can't get it back out. There should be a post near the top of the clutch pedal the push rod snaps onto and is retained by a plastic clip.
