Clutch line to slave cylinder

I am wondering if I have the right match just am working at it wrong. Can someone post a pic or email to me of a connected line and slave? I'm thinking that I might be pushing the relese ring into the socket so it is going in and then not holding (go figure).:idiot:

Also make sure to bleeder is open a little. sometimes they come from the factory or rebulding place with some pressure in there....on't know why. i had a shit ton of trouble with mine.. just crack the bleeder so the pressure fitting can relax.

I had that thought back up top somewhere.

I have to wait till I get home at the end of the week to put all these ideas together.

Ok, so I have the right slave. Black collar, taperd hex bolt bleeder. Line pushes the inner button, but does not stay. Goes a little more than 1/2 way in. Any other ideas? Is it possable I was sold the wrong hydrolic line? It seems like it is to small for the slave. I got this idea from someone saying you could file down the older line to fit the newer slave, which indicates the newer line is smaller. MJ

You do realize that the white plastic collar is only pushed in to release the line?
When you snap the line back into the slave the plastic collar does NOT get pushed in and should still be clearly seen after the two parts are together.:icon_thumby:

Oh yeah, I know. That is staying out. The bottom of the release ring is about as far in as it is going (to give a good judgment). I was just at the local pick-n-pull, and it looked like the coupling should be going pretty much all the way to where the relese ring top edge sits against the top of the collar for the slave. The other thing I noticed, is there supposed to be a metal catch inside the collar that follows the inner circumference on the slave? One out there did, while mine does not. I'm wondering if that is what holds the thing on.

:yahoo: I GOT IT! :thefinger: There is a little metal ring that has to be in the collar of the slave. I had a theory that was just to long to post about the line having something to clip to. One flimsy piece of metal was all the issue. :annoyed: Now hopefully I have all of the pins to make the reverse and NSS work and I will have a tranny! Thanks for all the help y'all. MJ
