i cant figure out how to detach the clutch line from my tranny i have a FM146 could someone please help i need to get this thing back on the road asap.

It is a quick disconnect fitting and you'll need the tool to do it, looks like this:

could i do it at all with a flathead screw driver, the tranny is stuck in 3rd i beleive its my shift fork i just gotta get it out thats the only thing i have left

I'm sure it's possible, you have to push the white collar in towards the transmission on the end of the hose, and pull out on the hose to release. I tried it with a screwdriver once and gave up and got the tool its cheap like < $10 at just about any auto part store. If you don't want to wait maybe try an open end wrench instead. Good luck!

I bought the tool and ended up using a small (1/8" wide blade) screwdriver which worked better for me. If you can't get the quick connect off you can disconnect the line up at the clutch master by pushing out the little roll pin which retains the line. (make sure not to lose it).

thanks yall i should have it out today so i can take it to a tranny shop
