Does anyone know if a clutch kit from an 89 bronco 2 will fit my 94 ranger with the 2.3??

If they're both 2.3s you shouldn't have any issues.

I have doubts about the 2.9(V6), but would look in a parts catalog at the store for the 2.5 and 2.3 to see if they use the same pieces.
I think the major thing would be the transmission installed, along with the particular hydraulic clutch release bearing. Likely the flywheels would be the same, but I'd check rather than spend the $$$'s and waste the time.

No. It will not work. Very simply, the clutch disc, pressure plate, and flywheel are not interchangeable between a 2.3 and a 2.9 (the B2 will have a 2.9.) Totally different parts.

the pressure plate and friction disc from a 2.9 are the same as a 2.3, the 4.0L used a bigger clutch that won't fit on a 2.3L no matter how hard you try...

^That^

The flywheel's center bolt circle would probably be different between the 2.3 and the 2.9, but the diameter of the flywheel is probably the same, which means the clutch disc and pressure plate should work fine.

When in doubt I get on a parts store website and look up the part for both vehicles and compare part numbers. If they are the same the part will work.
