I have a 1998 Ford Ranger where I need to replace the clutch brake pedal bracket assembly. My question is where to purchase? I can get it at my local AutoZone//O’Reillys for about $140 or I can purchase one on eBay for about $45. Of course I would like to save money. Just wondering if the cheaper one is worth it

for a 27 year old truck... I would think that the 45 dollar one would be fine, or at least better than your worn out one. look at the feedback score of the seller, see if you can find any reviews on his product and study those as well.

Worst case you will be doing the repair again in 5 years, but by then you might have other mechanical issues that take the truck out.

That being said, if you are restoring this truck or it has sentimental value and you care keeping it forever, it may be worth the 140 dollar price tag

Another option would be a junkyard. find a wrecked ranger and pull the assembly off of it. might even be cheaper than the 45 dollar route and will likely be OEM.
