90 bronco 2 m5od Trans. All pretty much stock.

I have a short bleeder screw (11mm 7/16) which from reading is next to impossible to bleed.

My question... Can I just unscrew it right out and replace it with something I can use to bleed the system? Can I get one from a auto wrecker or parts shop?

I'm going to the wrecker tomorrow so I need to know what's the best vehicle to get a better screw from.

Thanks for any info.

After some investigation I found that the bleeder screws will not interchange. In a state of desperation I decided to build my own one man bleed setup.using about 3 feet of 1\4 id surgical tubing stuffed into a spark plug boot from a s10 I had sitting around. The spark plug boot fit Nice over the big tapered bleed screw, the tubing ran up to the motor to a bottle to hold the old fluid. I then pumped about 1/4 quart of dot 3 brake fluid threw the system. Finger tightened the bleed screw as tight as I could get it.pulled of the boot and tube and wrenched the screw right. everything seems good but not really better. Might try Jb welding a better bleed nipple on and flush the system..fluid was quite dark.
