I have a 85 Bronco II that my clutch just started slipping on. Is there a way to adjust the free play in my clutch? There is absolutely no free play which I am pretty sure is where my problem is coming from.

It's a hydraulic clutch, there is no adjustment to it. If it's disengaging completely, the release system is working fine and your problem is confined to a worn clutch surface.

I don't feel that it is disengaging completely. There is absolutely no play in my pedal at all.

If there's no play, then it's starting to disengage from the moment you start pushing it. I'm confused here - are you saying you can't get the clutch to release (meaning the engine and trans are locked together and you can't use the clutch hydraulics to disconnect them) or that it's slipping?

No I am saying that the second i touch the clutch it releases. I feel that the pedal may still be engaged even when I don't have my foot on it. There is always supposed to be some play in the pedal (about an inch from when the clutch is depressed until it begins to disengage). I know that the clutch has been through a lot of miles but i feel there is still life left in it if I could find a way to adjust the pedal. Thanks for your help.

There does not need to be any free play in the system whatsoever. There is no constant pressure applied in a hydraulic system like you might see in a cable based clutch. What you're describing is exactly how it's supposed to work.

While frequently there is a bit of slack in the clutch pedal it doesn't mean it has to be there. If the pedal is nice and hard and you think its disengaging too early when you put start pushing it then you are like the lady who complained that her car accelerates too fast.
If its slipping when you are driving, go get a clutch. There is no adjustment, in a hydraulic system the springs in the pressure plate always push everything back to where it should be. There is also a spring on the throw-out to to take up some of the slack.
