clutch activation rod bushing

hey guy's my clutch activation rod fell off of the clutch pedal, that little plastic keeper/bushing just fell apart. bought a new one from ford put it in the master cyc activation rod end now it won't seat on the pin on the clutch pedal. oh and won't come out with out destroying it.
is there a secret way/order to get these three parts to come together?

Should just clip on, sometimes I have to use channel lock pliers to get it seated all the way. Squeeze the two metal parts together. You're probably not going to get it apart without breaking it but in my experience the clip still works even with one or two tabs broke off. Just try to squeeze it together with pliers.
