I had a large clunking nosie in my right front. ( 94 Ranger, 2.3 5spd ) I found the ball joints all sloppy. I replaced them and she's tight. Still have a large K-boom and clunk going oner small pot holes or bumps.

Might be worthwhile to check your sway bar links. One of my links lost the lower piece of rubber so whenever I hit a bump or made a left turn the suspension would pull the link up and it would clunk against the lower control arm when the spring would decompress.

But I think your suspension is a different design than mine, so I don't know if my suggestion applies. But hey hopefully it helps
