We are supposed to get up to 6 inches over night here, wife parked the Expedition in with the Mustang when she got home from work. I asked if she thought moving it was a good idea, she said she'd figure it out in the morning.

If she was trying to get me to move it for her it worked.

That sucks. I'm in central Ohio and we haven't closed school yet this week. Probably bc they saw the temp for Wednesday. I'm sure they will close Wednesday though. Our school closes all the time so I'm shocked they haven't yet this week. Most of the kids around here live in the country so they are waiting at the ends of long cold driveways so I get it. I remember when I was in school we never EVER closed due to cold or bad weather... Our principle drove mustangs so he figured if he can make it to school from 35 minutes away in a mustang then everyone else will be fine.

Central Wisconsin here. Schools closed yesterday due to snow. Closed today and Wed due to cold and blowing winds. -30 actual and -55 with wind chill.

I haven't heard if they are closing around here or not but in southern Iowa windchills are supposed to be bad. Not -17 actual air for a high but I bet they won't have school tomorrow.

Scraping ice at 6* (-15 windchill) was bad enough this morning. Omaha is saying -12 with a windchill of -30 tomorrow at 8am.

Not bad at all out here in western SD - relatively cold but the wind is just brutal. 60 and 70mph gusts and lots of new tumbleweeds lodged all over the place

My wife was reading off a weather report the other day that said "Up to a foot of snow possible over the next week with highs in the 20s or low 30s, lows down near zero for the next week".

I looked at her and said "So they are saying that it's Fedruary"?

It's supposed to get way down to 22* here tonight and tomorrow night. Maybe I'll wear my toboggan and make sure my coat is zipped up when I go to work in the morning.

It should be in the 50's for me to replace my clutch this weekend. I can handle that.

S'posed to get pretty cold here too. Down in the 20's. Ya'll stay warm and don't go out in it unless you have to. Bad accidents on the interstates.

Back when I was younger and hungry I worked capping windows at -36C, with wind was -54C. That's -33F, with wind - 65F. Work for 5 min then warm up for 10. Capping windows involves bending light gauge aluminum to go over wood window frames on the exterior. You can't wear heavy gloves to do the work. My fingers are very sensitive to the cold since.
