OK does anyone have a name for the plastic clip thingies (pointing to one of them)? They aren't attached to anything - guessing they should clip on a spring coil to keep brake lines away from wheel? Noticed that the passenger side brake line has some slight rub marks from the tire. It evidently can touch at full lock. The driver side doesn't have the clips at all, but they may well have deteriorated and fallen off.

Got on the Rock Auto site and couldn't find anything similar.

thoughts? Zip tie?

97 B4000.

thanks!

Don't know what the clip is called, but if you look up front brake hoses for your truck the replacements picture the clips on them..
look at AC Delco 18 J 1240 or Raybestos 17695-05742122 for pictures.
Looks like a clip that attaches to a flat part of frame to keep hose away from spring or moving suspension parts.

Yeah I found pictures of hoses with the clips, just not the clips. Probably pull one off and run to a parts store, battery seems to have suddenly died. Darn thing was only 7 years old  which is about twice as long as they normally last in the heat around here.

Zip ties should work. Use black ones that are UV rated. If you can get some with the metal locking tang inside, they're the best. You might want to leave them a little bit loose so things have some freedom to move.

+1 on the zip ties. Or safety wire. or that rubber coated wire stuff they use for gardening. Stupid clip.
