i have a 93 4.0 and and it is starting to make clicking noises even worse when i rev it up
 
clicking or tapping, mine sounds like a diesel but runs great, the lifters are shit.
 
i just drained the oil and found gas in it
 
maybe a bad fuel pressure regulator
