my a/c compressor grenaded and had to have spread junk thru out the system. Everything has been replaced except evaporator. what would you use to flush the evap out? both directions or only one way? with air ? any help would be appreciated

1994 2wd 4.0 auto, pulled fenders, long radius. dropped mnts(going soon) 33 bfg 33'' whoops on the a arm trucks

If removed, slosh isopropyl alcohol throughout it.

I suppose you could do the same with an air hose nozzle even if installed.

Catch the outflow through cheescloth.

Replace the screen in the smaller (pressure) line or replace that line if that year's isn't replaceable. Replace the accumulator/filter/dryer. Don't neglect to flush the condensor and lines.

Good luck with it. I'd flush too.

Edit: Sorry, didn't note all the "replaced" parts.

Indeed, you can use isopropyl alcohol, or you can buy liquid A/C flush in any HVAC store (heck even autozone might have it) let it sit for like 15 - 20 mins and shake it from time to time. As far as I know to really perform a good cleansing you need to use compressed air and make sure the thing spits out all the junk.

thanks guys, yea it's still in the truck. the hoses are new. does the new hose come with the screen? the o-rings should be compatible with both freons don't you think? lots of question. this is my 1st one thanks again
