I posted this on Blue Oval Trucks but I wanted some ranger guy opinions...

I found this on CL...http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/cto/1554959405.html

I've always been lookin for a f150 and found a couple but the rents always shut em down. I dont have a job right now so money would come from where?:icon_confused:. But my ranger isnt grow like I am, and getting kinda small (me being over 6'2 and 220lbs.) and I just to upgrade to something bigger. I would like to keep my ranger to make it a mean weekend cruiser and have the f150 as a DD/hauler. Gas milage isnt really an issue cause I inhert my sisters escort next winter.

what do you guys think?

I figure I could talk him down to 800ish

would this thing have a tow package or something? or what would make it have a DANA60 rear end:headbang:?

I'd say it's well worth it. For 1k or less, and for what you're getting, it's a steal. It could almost be a decent candidate for a flipper, if it really has been kept up.

Hell, If I had a bit more dough laying around, I'd even pick it up. Don't have any room to park it though.

Go check it out and let us know.

Not to sound like a jerk, but if you don't have a job or money, you probably shouldn't be spending what you do have on another truck. Like you said, you inherit an escort next winter. I'd say just stick it out in the ranger until then. Get a job and some money and then you can mess around with extra trucks.

Oh, and a carb'd six with a slushbox C6 is going to be one slow wheezer! If you're set on a six, get an EFI one. They're 10x more driveable.

from the amount of stuuf that fella said is new or recently replaced, sounds to me like its a turd that was fixed up to run decently and be drivable. has too many red flags on it IMO
