Chrwilkins30's build

Great build! Your truck looks great!

Do you drive it every day? I need inspiration to start on mine...say yes!

just found a tcase from a 91 ranger, from the tech library it seems that it would have a 1354M, I know its mechanical from the pic he sent but would it be. He doesnt really know what it is. Any help?

I can get it for 75 bucks with all the linkage. i need to know so I can jump on it. Thanks

Post a pic of it on here

I will. Waiting on him to send it. I asked for the pic of the front and rear flange and he had no idea what I was talking about. my friend is driving there to drop off a deposit on the trans and Ill take a look at it then, Is there any quick way to identify it.

The 1350 will have an extended housing for the front shaft, and the 1354 won't it will just have the yoke there. Some 1350's had a fixed front yoke instead of the slip yoke. Those were on the ranger STX high rider models which are rare. I have one on my truck and might have a pic of it in my build thread.

Here is about the best pic I had on my phone. You can see the front output housing.

I picked up the tcase today. Cost me $100 for everything.

Friend bought the transmission to rebuild.

Talked to the same guy I got the tcase from and that ranger has the d35 front end. I asked him about it and I told him I'd get back to him on a price for it.

Whats a good offer on it?

All depends on how many miles and overall condition. $100 is where I would start.

okay. He said he got the truck from a old lady and says it only had 80,000 on it but then found out it had a really bad rust frame and thats why he parting it out. I looked at the frame when I was there and they tried to fix it with a piece of angle iron and 2 bolts from the bumper to the front of the bed section. Hilarious sight to see. I wanted to call them dumb asses but decided against it.

The good thing it is all there and has manual hubs already.

I say go for it. Get rid of the d28

He also has a late 90's explo that I tried to get the rear axle from but hes wait to part it out for some reason. He said 125 for that. Which I thinks a good deal for discs.

$120 is what the take-a-part here charges for rear axle.
