Chrwilkins30's build

hold on? i remember how i did it now. kinda been a while on the passenger side i i had to hold the window up as unit with the mounting piece and grind the rivets off making it kinda hard. then pull the glass out all by its self. Sorry about that i must of missed that part. My driver window got busted out and made it easier to remove the mount holding the glass

Got the driver one put on.

keep me informed how it goes.

Got the rivets off. The rivets that went through the window mounting bracket was kinda weird. There was the rivet itself and then I guess you could call it the metal sleeve that houses the rivet and on the other side of the glass panel, there were 3 metal prongs that flared out. So I couldn't get anything back there to bend them straight enough to pull them out. So my roommate came over and just used a bigger drill bit and drilled them through and the metal prongs on the other side just pretty much fell off after drilling through the metal sleeve.

yeah at first i tried to bend the 3 prong end out but there seemed like no way to push it through. So did you get the swap done.?

Oh yeah, then when I went to the passenger's side it had bolts so it was a cake. Only thing my semi new passenger side window motor doesn't like pushing the window up against the new window anti-rattle kit I replaced on both both driver's and passengers side. Was mad I put a small scratch into the brand new window when I was trying to slide it into place on the passenger side. I was pissed, still am. But taking the truck tomorrow get new 5% tint on the side windows in the morning.

Yeah that's what LMC Truck Calls it, but it's the seals that go on both sides of the window and one side of it mounts to the top of the door panel on the inside and the other seal on the outside

Little update

No really bad carnage the 86 b2 lost a body mount and the rear brakeline snapped. easy fix used locking pliers on the flex house to get him home

My truck started acting like it was running out of fuel. so i figured it was a fuel filter clogged but after some investigation notice this that was melted to the y=pipe.

A run to the JY fixed that.

I also ordered my por15 for the rockers, shift extender for the body lift that's going on, d-rings for the jeep bumper, relays for the 3 sets of lights and a new strap for towing crap when needed instead of using a chain. Says to be here tues or Wednesday. So on the next day off after receiving the por the rockers will be bedlined and the body lift is after that.
