After months of searching, i found this 89 BII with the worse chop imaginable.

So first step was to start capping off the sheet metal with some 1x3 tubing.

i will update more as i upload more pics.

worse imaginable?

The previous owner cut around all of the pinch weld for the windows with what appeared to be a dull hatchet. i still have a couple of spots to finish. I am trying to find some pictures with the tubing finished.

I'd like to see lots of pictures!

Plans for a top?

I did mine similar to that, with sheet metal though, then chopped down a short bed ranger camper shell.

Also, I grafted the rear top portions of a Ranger bed above the taillights, and make mounts for a tailgate. Made it look finished.

That was before smart phones and I couldn't afford a digital camera, wish I had pictures...

I found a few more pics of the metalwork. I cut down the rear hatch and moved the hinges to the bottom. As far as the top goes i made a temporary partition for the winter, but i have a couple of different ideas in my head.

Sorry about the poor inside pic. I cant seem to get my camera to take good pics inside the shop.

Now on to the straight axle swap. Im using a d30 hp. When i moved the coil buckets on the axle i went ahead and moved them 1 inch behind the centerline. I plan on moving the frame coil buckets 2 inches forward to stretch the wb. I'm wanting to get 100" wb when im finished.

I have been too busy lately to get much done on the bronco, but i did manage to get started on my lower arms. I need to pick up more steel before i can go any further.

I would like to see some more pictures of how you cleaned up the chop. Please?

Steve

I don't have any more pics while i was capping the sides. Here are a few more after photos to give a little better idea of what i did.

It was alot of work, but it was the only way i was going to be satisfied with it. It will still require a little attention before paint.

thanks for the additional pics. I like what I see. So what are these other ideas you have for it?

Steve

Haven't had much time lately to work on anything, but i did manage to recover my headliner.
